Дорогие читатели и авторы,
в этом номере мы хотим еще раз вернуться к актуальному вопросу качества исследований, выполняемых нашими авторами в области градостроительства, архитектуры, дизайна, строительных наук. Сегодня, в условиях быстрой урбанизации и изменения парадигм, проектная сфера переживает значительные сложности, накладывающие отпечаток на исследования. Сложность поиска релевантных данных, противоречивость некоторых документов, множественность методологий приводят к неровности присылаемых текстов. Тем не менее, каждый из них ценен для журнала как факт научного поиска и развития различной проблематики.
Главной задачей редакционной коллегии журнала «Академический вестник УралНИИПроект РААСН» является не только публикация результатов завершённых научных исследований, но и формирование среды для развития будущих специалистов в области градостроительства, архитектуры, стилистики, а также строительной науке. Этот принцип определяет структуру каждого выпуска. Мы сознательно отводим значительную часть объёма журнала работам аспирантов, магистрантов и их научных руководителей. На это есть две ключевые причины.
Во-первых, профессиональное сообщество нуждается в постоянном обновлении. Теоретические и практические знания в наших дисциплинах требуют не только освоения, но и критического осмысления новым поколением исследователей. Публикация в рецензируемом журнале, входящем в перечень ВАК, является необходимым этапом научной социализации. Это позволяет начинающим авторам на практике освоить строгие требования к научному тексту: формулировке проблемы, построению методологии, корректности выводов. Без такой возможности «врастания» в научный процесс его преемственность оказывается под вопросом.
Во-вторых, диалог между состоявшимся учёным и его учеником представляет особую ценность. Публикуя статьи тандема «руководитель – аспирант» или работы молодых авторов рядом с исследованиями кандидатов и докторов наук, мы фиксируем этот диалог. Мы предоставляем площадку, где методология, отточенная годами, встречается с новым взглядом, а иногда – с новой исследовательской гипотезой, требующей проверки.
Редакция полностью отдаёт себе отчёт в том, что тексты начинающих исследователей часто уступают работам опытных учёных в глубине проработки, стилистической отточенности и строгости структуры. Эта «неровность» является не недостатком, а прямым следствием нашей цели. Она компенсируется тщательной работой рецензентов и научных редакторов, которые не просто оценивают, но и помогают авторам доработать материал, дают рекомендации и обратную связь, превращая первичные наброски в полноценные научные тексты. Можно сказать, что процесс рецензирования и редактуры становится корректным продолжением образовательной функции в новом для автора формате.
Мы рассматриваем работу с будущими специалистами как одну из ключевых задач академического издания. Уверены, что качество журнала определяется не только силой отдельных публикаций, но и его ролью в воспроизводстве научных кадров. Именно последовательная работа с молодыми авторами, их интеграция в профессиональную дискуссию на раннем этапе формирует ту устойчивую основу, без которой невозможны ни признание, ни развитие науки в сфере градостроительства, архитектуры и эстетики.
Редакционная политика «Академического вестника» остается ориентированной на поддержку аспирантов и их наставников. Мы рассматриваем это как основной вклад в качество и жизнеспособность всего профессионального сообщества.

In this issue, we wish to revisit the persistent question of the quality of research undertaken by our contributors in the fields of urban planning, architecture, design, and the building sciences. Today, amidst rapid urbanization and shifting paradigms, the design and planning professions are navigating significant complexities that inevitably leave their mark on scholarly inquiry. The challenges in sourcing relevant data, the inherent contradictions within certain documents, and the multiplicity of methodologies contribute to an unevenness in the submissions we receive. Nevertheless, each contribution holds value for the journal, serving as a testament to the ongoing scientific exploration and the evolution of various sub-disciplines.
The primary objective of the editorial board of Akademicheskie Vestnik UralNIIproekt RAASN extends beyond merely publishing the results of completed scientific research. It encompasses the cultivation of an environment for the development of future specialists in urban planning, architecture, aesthetics, and the building sciences. This principle shapes the structure of every issue. We deliberately allocate a substantial portion of the journal’s volume to the works of postgraduate students, master’s candidates, and their academic supervisors. This approach is dictated by two key rationales.
Firstly, the professional community necessitates constant renewal. The theoretical and practical knowledge within our disciplines demands not only assimilation but also critical reflection by a new generation of researchers. Publication in a peer-reviewed journal, particularly one listed by the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK), is an essential step in academic socialization. It provides emerging authors with practical experience in mastering the stringent requirements of scholarly text: articulating a problem, constructing methodology, and formulating sound conclusions. Without such an opportunity to «grow into» the scientific process, its continuity faces genuine uncertainty.
Secondly, the dialogue between established scholars and their mentees holds particular significance. By publishing the articles of «supervisor–postgraduate» tandems or the works of young authors alongside the research of candidates and doctors of sciences, we are effectively documenting this dialogue. We offer a platform where methodologies honed over years intersect with fresh perspectives, and occasionally, with novel research hypotheses awaiting validation.
The editorial team is fully cognizant that the texts submitted by early-career researchers often fall short of those by seasoned academics in terms of depth of analysis, stylistic polish, and structural rigor. This «unevenness,» however, is not a flaw but a direct consequence of our overarching goal. It is compensated for by the diligent work of our peer reviewers and academic editors, who do more than merely assess submissions; they actively assist authors in refining their material, offering recommendations and feedback that transform initial drafts into comprehensive scholarly works. One might say that the process of peer review and editorial refinement becomes a constructive extension of the educational function, albeit in a new format for the author.
We view our engagement with future specialists as a cornerstone of academic publishing. We are confident that the quality of a journal is determined not only by the strength of its individual publications but also by its role in nurturing the next generation of scientific talent. It is precisely through consistent engagement with young authors and their integration into professional discourse at an early stage that we forge the stable foundation upon which both recognition and advancement in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and aesthetics depend.
The editorial policy of Akademicheskie Vestnik remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting postgraduate students and their mentors. We consider this to be our principal contribution to the quality and vitality of the entire professional community.
